A Major Commitment On December 18th, Adult Swim made a major announcement: Haha, You Clowns has been renewed for a further two seasons. This gives creator Joe Cappa ample opportunity to develop the story of the Campbell family. The series follows three respectful teenage brothers whose defining trait is their strong bond for their single father, with Cappa providing the voices for all four key characters. "I am incredibly thankful to the audience of the show who welcomed the series and helped it grow," remarked Cappa. "It's thrilling that I get to spend more time in the Campbell household for the foreseeable future." A President's Endorsement The official statement also included commendation from Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen, who called the series as "profoundly sincere and strangely uncanny." He thanked the fans who discovered the show and supported its distinctly quirky style. "All of you got behind this new show, praised it on social media, and expanded its audience week over week so we could greenlight not one, but two more seasons," commented Ouweleen. Previously, creator Joe Cappa shared his hope to evolve comedy past its current layer of irony. He linked this trend to a broader media landscape. “We're stuck in a cycle of irony that we are trapped in,” said Cappa. “The attitude is that we have to know we’re the cleverest viewer in the room when we're watching stuff. I feel like we've been doing this for a decade, and we need to laugh at something different now.
